The Christmas Country Fair

The annual Christmas Country Fair has become a fixture in the calendar on the Dolphin Coast, known for its huge offering of high quality, unique, and handcrafted gifts. The Fair is an important source of income for the ever-growing band of stallholders, providing an enthusiastic audience for their creative talents. It is also is the biggest annual fundraising event of the Christmas Fair Fund itself, where all money raised gets channeled to the various ongoing worthy projects.

Since the first Christmas Fair in 1952 in the (then) Stanger town hall, the event has grown into one of the biggest Christmas markets in KZN hosted annually at the end of October through the beginning of November at Collisheen Estate. The stallholders offer outstanding products with the emphasis on organically produced, natural and handcrafted merchandise, and are all carefully selected by the organisers in keeping with the “loving local” theme.

There is a dedicated foodie area where light lunches and snacks are served is situated in the beautiful Collisheen gardens, where every dietary preference and requirement is catered for. For the sweet tooth, Christmas cakes and puddings are available, for which the Christmas Fair Fund bakers have become famous.
