NORTH COAST COURIER ORPHAN FUND

The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund was established in 2003 by the North Coast Courier newspaper, All Souls Anglican Church in Umhlali, St. Vincent de Paul Society in Ballito and the United Congregational Church in Groutville.

It raises funds for food parcels for NGOs, child-headed households, and grandmothers who care for orphaned and vulnerable people. It also provides subsistence bursaries for deserving students who qualify for financial aid but are without the resources to support themselves.

The administrative costs are undertaken by the North Coast Courier newspaper and Seeff Dolphin Coast. It is a Section 18A company, therefore donations are tax deductible. The Christmas Fair Fund have donated funds to this worthy initiative for many years, and are proud to have played a part in making a difference in people’s lives.
